Clean State Update
We are sending love and support out to everyone during this health crisis. In the interests of minimising the spread of COVID-19, the Clean State staff team has elected to work from home and practice physical distancing wherever possible. We’ve also moved all upcoming events online.
Right now there are a few ways you can remain involved if you are spending more time at home:
We have set up an easy Call Your Member of Parliament action with talking points to share your concerns about why Woodside’s Burrup should not go ahead!
We encourage you to send a copy of our Burrup Hub pollution report to your MP. Our report details every issue with the Burrup Hub from how the project will be the most polluting project ever to be developed in Australia, to Woodside’s dangerous plans for 54 drill wells to extract oil and gas from beneath the pristine Scott Reef off the Kimberley coast.
Let us know how your call went and if your local politician responds to your email about Woodside’s Burrup Hub. Keep sending us your inspiring photos and climate action stories to share on social media too.
Thank you so much for your efforts so far to inform politicians about the need for more clean solutions and less gas pollution in WA. And special thanks to everyone who has volunteered at community events or generously donated. The community awareness of the Burrup Hub is in a large part thanks to you. If you have any questions for our team, you can reach us on [email protected], but we won’t be answering the phones until we are back in office.
We encourage you all to take care of yourselves, your families and neighbours. We hope that you can find the time to read that book that’s been sitting on your bookshelf, start a veggie garden or listen to a new podcast.
