North Network Meetup (Online)

Here at Clean State we are working to build a groundswell of public consensus for climate action; leading to government and business commitments for a transition to net zero emissions.

In order to shift attitudes on climate, we need to change the current narrative of climate action in WA through thousands of impactful conversations. Taking action on climate is an opportunity to make WA a fairer, safer, healthier place to live and work.

We know that West Australians want action on climate, but how do we make sure we lock in a safe climate future for businesses, families, and communities?

Across Western Australia, we will be setting up teams of Clean State volunteers to lead meaningful conversation events, and climate action projects in their own community. And who better to engage a community than people living in that community?

What: At this North area meeting we will be building on the initial plans we drafted at our Kickstart meeting in September. We're creating a network of supporters and organisers across WA, so we'll be brainstorming what we want to do in our North metro communities, and how we're going to organise ourselves to get action on climate.

Where: from the comfort of your own home! Due to people coming from a range of places (Cottesloe right through to Yanchep, and from Scarborough to Bassendean), meeting online seems like the best place to meet. RSVP to get the Zoom link, then 5 minutes before the call starts, simply click the link! If you have any concerns regarding using Zoom including accessibility requirements, please let Jordan know before the 11th and we will be able to help you out!

North Network meetups will be a central place for individuals and local Clean State groups to come together as a Clean State collective to receive training, share wins, share updates, brainstorm and troubleshoot.
