We are Clean State:

The climate solutions network for Western Australia.

Our vision is that by 2030, Western Australia is a global leader in climate solutions, creating millions of clean jobs across the state.

Our vision is that by 2030, Western Australia is a global leader in climate solutions, creating millions of clean jobs across the state.

We also envision sustainability will be integral to our way of life – so current and future generations can continue to live, work and enjoy WA for many years to come.

Our mission is to mobilise and accelerate opportunities for WA climate solutions through collaboration, research, advocacy and actionable policy reform.

We are driving evidence-based solutions to diversify our economy and create thousands of jobs within new, sustainable industries through collaboration, research and policy recommendations.

Plus, we continue to build awareness around climate impacts and support local communities as they strive for a fairer and safer place to live, learn and work.

What we do

Our team collaborates with businesses, experts and changemakers on climate challenges –
then generates insights about these using the latest scientific and economic data to show what works.

1. COLLABORATE

Understanding cross-sectoral issues

We meet and consult with businesses, experts, changemakers and high-level state policymakers on all things carbon-related in WA.

Then, through these unique partnerships, we identify opportunities to further enhance the decarbonisation of the WA economy.

2. GENERATE INSIGHTS

Pairing in-house research with powerful data

Our team takes those learnings away to investigate what’s working and why. We find out what decarbonising could look like across different sectors, and what the obstacles might be.

This is coupled with a strong focus on researching structural change in WA’s economy and jobs market.

3. SHOW WHAT WORKS

Spreading the word on cleaner futures

After consulting with our network, we summarise our findings and publish reports to show what we know.

We showcase the benefits of decarbonisation for WA – and in doing so, encourage the State Government to commit greater resources, accelerate climate policy and meet net-zero ASAP.

I want to join the climate solutions network for Western Australia.
